ABSTRACT
The purpose of this study was to analyze the diagnosis of bulimia nervosa based on DSM V. The method used in this study was qualitative with a library research approach. This study concludes that bulimia nervosa is a form of an intense fear of gaining weight or refusing to maintain body weight at or above average body weight, at least according to age and height, and experiencing disturbances in how to view one's own weight or body shape. So, it causes various severe complications and can even cause death. Therefore, people with bulimia nervosa need comprehensive medical and psychological treatment, namely hospitalization if necessary and individual and family therapy.
