ABSTRACT

This article aims to determine the form of legal protection for children who are perpetrators of criminal acts of terrorism in Indonesia as regulated in Law Number 5 of 2018 concerning the Eradication of Criminal Acts of Terrorism. This is based on the phenomenon of children's involvement in acts of terrorism in Indonesia in recent years. The author uses a juridical-normative approach to analyze the problem of forms of legal protection for children who commit terrorism. The research results show that Law No. 5 of 2018 does not specifically regulate children who are perpetrators of terrorism and Indonesia uses the Child Protection Law and the Juvenile Justice System Law as instruments for handling children who are perpetrators of terrorism.
