The Leadership School Principal in the Implementation of Local Character Education

ABSTRACT

The purpose of this study is to describe the leadership of school principals in the implementation of local character education in Harapan Bangsa Kindergarten. This research uses a qualitative method. Data collection in this study uses depth interviews and observations. Data validation in this study was carried out by triangulation of sources and techniques, confirmability and dependability. Meanwhile, data analysis uses an interactive model from mile and Huberman (2014) which consists of data collection, data condensation, data presentation and data conclusion. The results of this research are the leadership of school principals in the implementation of local character education in the aspects of vision, mission, motto, leadership style with a collegitability approach, then building a joint commitment, consensus deliberation by involving all school residents, and an approach through communication, kinship and good coordination.
